Working with Photoshop on the computer I find as relaxing and rewarding as working with paint or pastels. I also use selected areas of photographs, scanned textures and fractal compositions, the latter of which I construct with seperate computer fractal programs. Working digitally is very similar creating collages which is how I began working in art many years ago after seeing a painting by Robert Rauschenberg. One would think that working digitally would be faster than using a brush or pencil; but not so... at least not for me. It sometimes takes much longer to find and alter an image digitally than to just take up a pencil and draw something.
